In June, the national weather conditions were more suitable for the growth of cotton, but Xinjiang cotton was affected by the early low temperature and freezing damage, and its growth was slower than the same period last year. According to a survey by the CCA, the total production in 2021 is expected to be approximately 5.7218 million tons, a decrease of 3.41% year-on-year. This month, textile companies have sufficient orders, operating rates remain high, raw material demand is strong, domestic cotton prices have risen steadily, yarn production has increased, corporate sales have been smooth, and commercial inventories have continued to decline. The CCA predicts that cotton imports in 2020/21 will be 3 million tons, an increase of 87% year-on-year, the ending stocks will be 8.7 million tons, an increase of 10% year-on-year, the consumption will be 8.1 million tons, an increase of 5.9% year-on-year, the production will be 5.92 million Tons, a slight increase from the same period last year.
