NBS:Cotton production in 2007 is 7.6 million tons

According to STATISTICAL COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
ON THE 2003 NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT from National Statistics Bureau, in 2007, the sown areas of cotton were 5.59 million hectares, an increase of 70,000 hectares. The output of cotton was 7.6 million tons which increased by 1.3% from last year.
