China’s cotton import in September

　　According to the statistics of General Administration of customs, China imported 134,000 tons of cotton in September, which decreased 152,000 tons against August, down by 53.14% and decreased 179,100 tons by 57.2% year-on-year. This is the lowest month-import since April 2005
　　The imports in the first nine months of the calendar year 2006 were 3,162,300 tonnes, 76% higher than the same period of last year.
