China’s cotton import in October

  According to the statistics of General Administration of Customs, China imported 85,000 tons cotton in October, which decreased 49,000 tons or 36.6% against September and decreased 113,000 tons or 57.1% year-on-year. This is the lowest month since April 2005.
  The imports in the first ten months of the calendar year 2006 were 3,248,000 tonnes, 62.7% higher than the same period of last year.
