China’s raw cotton import in December

According to the statistics of General Administration of Customs, China imported 240,300 tons raw cotton in December 2006, which increased 85,800 tons or 55.53% against November and decreased 107,100 tons or 30.8% year-on-year.
The imports in the calendar year 2006 were 3,642,900 tonnes, 41.8% higher than the last year.
