China’s raw cotton import in May

According to the statistics of General Administration of Customs, China imported 201,200 tons raw cotton in May 2007, which decreased 13,000 tons, reduce by 263,000 tons compared with the same period last year.
The cumulative imports in the 2006/07 cotton season(2006/9-2007/5) were 1,538,000 tonnes, 50% lower than the last season.
